Not feeling 'girly' doesn't necessarily mean you are a lesbian. Sexuality is a little more complicated than that, I think. Just take your time to find out who you are, try and spend time with men and women (appropriate to your age) as friends and see who you are drawn to. You don't have to make a de...

Your therapist's behaviour sounds completely unacceptable in my opinion. I would speak to a family member, or someone that you trust where you are and explain how unhappy you are with the situation. Even if that is your therapist's opinion, she should not be sharing it with other service users - it ...

It is quite possible to have both, as long as Aspergers was diagnosed prior to the development of schizophrenia. So someone with a childhood diagnosis of AS could go on to develop schizophrenia and receive a diagnosis as an adult. I'm sorry you have been having such a tough time, but I'm glad that y...

I wasn't aware that people on the spectrum had higher levels of self harm, I did search for information on this at one point and found very little about it. I have self harmed on and off for a long time. I used to head bang as a child, but I have never done that as an adult. Now I do everything from...

I'm sorry for your loss. You are not a leech, but a person with a serious health condition that is in no way your fault. When you are feeling depressed it is very easy to feel hopeless. Please don't give up. I think Ross's advice is good, you need to take it step by step. Trying to make changes when...

Your brother is wrong. I suspect that he doesn't even believe what he says himself - it sounds to me that he was jealous of the good, close relationship you had with your Grandma and he is just trying to hurt you. I would just ignore him. If your Grandma is looking down on you then I'm sure she love...

His depression doesn't have to drag you down. You are two separate people. He has made a decision that you find it difficult to understand (and frankly, so do I) but it is his decision. You can either say to him 'I cannot cope with the decision you have taken' and withdraw from the friendship, or yo...

I'm fine with vomit, but a woman I work with who is NT has a real phobia of being sick, or seeing someone else being sick. It is called emetophobia. I don't know how common it is, but you are certainly not alone.

Just because you feel fine does not mean that you are fine. Please go straight to the emergency room. People here like you and value you. Think about your kids, who love you.

I never quite know what I should be doing with my arms but whatever I am doing it never looks quite right! I worry about hand flapping, so for me just keeping them still is good enough. I know I don't look right. Often when I am standing still talking to someone, I sort of wrap my arms round myself ...

I think it could work out just fine. I've seen gay and straight age gap couples work really well. I don't think 12 years is a huge age gap unless the people involved want different things for example the younger one wants to party and the older one wants to settle down. However, seeing as you are an...

I think perhaps your friend may be mentally unwell. That level of unwarranted paranoia, especially when you say that you have known her a long time and she has not always been this way, is quite concerning. This is the difficult situation, because 'going along' with her and supporting her delusions ...

I am much the same. I am also not great with unpredictable foods, I like everything to taste the same. This is why I struggle with meat, although I eat it occasionally and often find eating it quite stressful. I have a very limited set of meals that I can eat, but fortunately I am relatively content...

Why would it be inappropriate, are either of you married, for example? If not, I'm confused about why it would so wrong. Obviously, you should definitely not have sex *at* work (trust me, that's a terrible, terrible idea!) but lots of people have relationships with work colleagues, whilst still rema...

Are you in the UK? If so you should go to your nearest Accident and Emergency, or the equivalent in your country. You can simply say that you fell over, if you want to. It is much better to be safe than sorry at times like this.
