The best thing indeed is to be yourself-in theory, but it simply doesn't work in reality. In practice people don't believe in the story of ''being yourself'', they want you to be just like them. I'd love to be able to be myself, but people don't like that, they want everyone and everything to be pre...

Last Thursday we received our high school diploma's. Everyone was supposed to walk over a runway, ending at a podium where a teacher held a short speech about you/your achievements etc. Both my parents were present. Than there was this girl who was really good at maths. I suck at it, verbally I'm gi...

Sometimes NT's actually scare me :? Tey appear too much the same for my taste. When you look around at my school, you can hardly tell the difference between people, they all look totally the same. The same clothes, haircuts, same jokes, same way of walking, talking, same taste on many things, same i...

Extra sign: Many people with an ASD have had a hard delivery, which is caused by a lack of physical ''communication'' and collaboration with the mother. :lmao: Were you serious about the other characteristics? I'm just curious, because I never in my wildest dreams thought my widely spaced toes had ...

I've read in a Dutch newspaper a scientific article on ohysical signs of autism. Here's a list: 1. The ring finger is just as long, or longer than the forefinger. 2. Big head 3. The eyes stand further away from eachother than average 4. Heart problems 5. Intestinal problems/digestive problems/ obsti...

I'm both gifted ans autistic, and I think there might be some neurological overlap. Many extremely intelligent children are also autistic. It's interesting, I'd like to know how it works, there seems to be some connection.

''300'', we saw that film during history class, even though it isn't historically accuate.I thought it was horrible too, with poor acting, way to ''heroic'' and so on.

I think multiculturalism a a concept, in theory, is a very good idea. It enriches a culture and broadens the view of citizens. However, in practice it often goes wrong, mostly when the cultures have totally different opinions on ethics, politics, the role of religion in politics etc. Multiculturalis...

It's interesting to see your reactions, they differ much from reactions to such polls in the Netherlands. Whilst you think there isn't a real problem, many people in Holland disagree and think we are in danger. @ Keith Indeed you could vote for other parties, but you cannot ignore or stop an increas...

Well, the problem is that Islam doesn't have a model for living in a non-Muslim world. Originally, the idea was that you conquered territories through fire and sword, and became the majority. I think they learned that one from us...;) Islam is a religion, and not a political party; there's no 'gree...
