I read that the man died later, and he clearly had mental health issues.

It takes a special kind of suicidal to deliberately set yourself on fire. That is not a pleasant way to die. And if you do survive it's going to feel like you're dying, even first degree burns are really painful.

Apparently not liking the bitter taste of some foods as an adult in society means you're childish and immature. And not just because your taste buds may be more sensitive than those of other adults.

And yet we supposedly childish and immature adults are probably less likely to get fatally poisoned.

I'm a "Disney adult", which is a million times more cringy than being a Looney Tunes adult. I walk around in public shamelessly wearing t-shirts with Mickey or Minnie Mouse while carrying a Minnie shopping bag. I like many other cartoons from The Golden age of animation as well. I have plu...

I was not very active as a child and would rather read, draw, watch TV or role-play with my toys. My mother grew up in an era when parents made their kids practically live outdoors, especially summer, and she was always trying to get me to go outside more and run around because of my weight problem....

Canada also has its own personification named Johnny Canuck. In early political cartoons he was portrayed as the younger cousin of Uncle Sam and John Bull, and was often shown resisting their bullying.

Hawks vs. Doves? I think Vultures vs. Turkeys is more fitting for politics.

If people apparently pee in pools, how come you can't go in a pool if you're on your period unless you have a tampon? Because society sees urinating as a normal and healthy thing the human body does, but not bleeding. Even if it's period blood. ESPECIALLY if it's period blood. So many guys will pla...

I've been having a lot of dreams lately of traveling back in time to the 80s or the 70s, probably because the present time is so awful and I'm really really afraid of getting older and the BIG M. Last night I dreamed that I traveled back in time to when I was nine years old. and I became nine years ...

I dunno, it wasn't that long ago when it seemed like every kid was being diagnosed with ADHD and were put on drugs with freaky side effects such as boys growing man boobies, but then they turned out not to have ADHD at all. I remember it being hilarious satire in King of the Hill, where Bobby was wr...

A lot of people think having kids is something you just have to do when you're an adult, especially if they're married. If you're "childless by choice" society thinks you're some kind of an evil monster, or you're selfish. Never mind that raising a kid is insanely expensive and plus the wo...

I have a cat, she is over 15 years old now. My other cat died a few years ago. Some people think cats can give you schizophrenia. But I think some people with mental illness or autism are just more likely to get cats for pets because they're not as high-maintenance, and cats are often misunderstood ...

Most subs on reddit are more toxic than a nuclear waste dump. And just being near other humans can get you very physically and emotionally poisoned. Thank god I no longer have to spend hours each day in a building with dozens of other people. Or people at all.

I do so get it. The mean girl probably thinks anyone who likes something that was targeted towards kids must be a pedo or a manchild, or both. Never mind that the 1994 Lion King is beloved by many people of all ages, along with its music. I've got the soundtrack on CD and I've spent years listening ...

Today I saw a truck near a McDonald's with an ad for an Egg McMuffin on the side of it. The ad showed a picture of an Egg McMuffin and said that it wouldn't exist without Canadians farmers. I got what they meant, they need the farmers for wheat wheat and eggs and stuff, but the ad kind of implied th...

I've loved cats all my life and I think whoever came up with the study is nothing but a total cat hater. For most of my childhood and early teen years I couldn't own a cat because my mom is allergic. So why did I start having schizophrenia-like symptoms when I was around 12? And why were they gone b...
