I'm in the can't decide category. Sensory issues and executive dysfunction are probably joint worst for me. I have to limit the amount of time I spend indulging my interests otherwise I just suffer from sensory overload and the whole experience itself becomes overwhelming rather than enjoyable. I wi...

When I was a child I used to like sitting inside my wardrobe. It was dark, cool and quiet in there and very soothing.

I bought my house when I was forty. It's not easy. There is so much stuff to consider and once you are a home owner you have to do everything yourself and it is very hard work. If your heating stops working it is up to you to arrange for someone to come and sort it and you have to pay for it yoursel...

Going back to that hoze, if a train hit that hoze it would just smash straight through it as if it wasn't there It wouldn't be the hose that would be the problem. It would be the ramps. What happens would be dependent on what the ramps are made of and whether they would fit underneath the lifeguard...

You could inform the rail road to halt train traiffic I would certainly hope that was what had been done. The ramps may pose little danger to a 100 ton plus freight loco. However if they were made from a solid plastic material they would certainly pose a danger to the sort of lightweight passenger ...

.....the issue is feeling unable to breathe/dizzy from lack of oxygen as some others have mentioned. It's not so much of a problem for a quick shopping errand, since the mask isn't on as long, but at work it can be quite a bother. Agreed. Fortunately I have an exemption from wearing one at work tha...

Somewhere in Belgium. :D The fire brigade is putting out a fire somewhere along the track. With the ingenious invention so that the trains can continue to drive, despite the fact that there are fire hoses on the track. https://i.imgur.com/1fTvnCN.jpg I'm assuming those ingenious invention...

An immediate answer may imply that one is rash and impulsive and doesn't think things through properly before acting. A deferred answer may imply that one is someone who likes to think things through rather than rushing into action. I'd like to think that prospective employers would consider that bu...

You never know when a diagnosis might be useful. I wasn't really expecting to use mine much for any practical purpose, but there is suddenly a requirement for staff in my industry to wear face coverings for much of the time at work. Thanks to having a formal diagnosis I have been able to obtain an e...

Two clinical psychologists interviewed me and my ex partner, both together and separately. They then discussed their findings with the rest of the multidisciplinary team before giving me the diagnosis. There were no actual tests as such but the interviews followed a set structure.

You must always be able to stop within the distance you can see to be clear, or within half that distance on single track roads. Empty your brain of all irrelevant junk such as the meeting you are going to, the conversation you had with your partner/friend a few minutes ago, how s**t your life is et...

Sounds interesting. How have you made a career of it if you don't mind my asking?

I can't stand people whistling or humming. It makes me feel as though I am going to explode. My sister used to hum all the time when we were little as she knew I couldn't cope with it*. Some of my work colleagues often indulge in short bouts of tuneless whistling, humming and "singing". I'...
