I doubt there's a connection.

If you're interested, I would make a poll and post it in "stats".

Were they close to the niece?

If so, it could see insensitive. If not, it wouldn't be kind, but it wouldn't be rude, either.

I quickly tire of maintaining a relationship with my friends about a month after meeting them. Many wish to keep in touch through the internet, which I loathe because of all the distractions--all the people I could be talking to. A friend and I must share a strong interest to communicate in that way.

I definitely think you should leave everything in.

Don't be worried about being sent to a "crazy home"--the psychologist needs a complete picture of what your mind is like so he/she can help you in the correct way.

I'd definitely go for a mental health evaluation.

This seems to be clinically significant, and could be a sign of something like Paranoid Personality Disorder. I can't diagnose you, but I can tell that this is making a negative difference in your life, and I want you to be well.

I find fireworks as a nice, socially acceptable visual stim.

Not too fond of the noise, though. Youtube videos of fireworks on mute are intriguing.

I agree with JT.

If it had been something like, "Autism is my superpower. / I think differently, / etc.", I might find it more appealing. But sensory overload is a very real problem for me. Not all superpowers are physical ones.

47.

I feel as if this has become one-sided. Perhaps "newer members" should be classified as joining in 2013 and after.
