I used to worry that people thought I was on drugs. Now I still wonder but don't worry. I wonder if I look like I have withdrawal symptoms. I have never been on drugs. |

Two baby boys. One is black with rosettes, the other is chocolate gray with a white crest, shorthair, very silky. They are happy to be together. One is two weeks older than the other. I am using fleece for their bedding. They have Timothy hay, apples, chew stick, chew antler, dandelion greens, and c... |

I don't mask as much anymore but neither do I usually tell them anything specific like ADHD or spectrum. Sometimes I say things like if I think I am not looking at them long enough or too little when they are talking I'll say something along the lines of, "I'm sorry if I am not looking at you m... |

You know I actually do have several diagnosed bipolar friends. I don't know why I was pairing these two things that are probably unrelated. I guess I was guilty of framing things too. None of my other bipolar friends have this particular personality but it is eerie how similar she is to this other p... |

I met someone who is diagnosed bipolar. At first my husband and I saw her in a loud, busy place and she stared at him the entire time and her face never moved. We thought she was AS possibly. Fast forward a few months and she comes to our house and is very chatty and open and expressive. She wasn't ... |

Yes, I do this. It was unconscious until I noticed it several months ago. It happens when I am doing dishes. I think it's a visual-protective thing, an automatic response to all the soap, colors, reflections, motion, and visual textures of washing dishes. My father who I strongly suspect is HFA (did... |

This guy explains ADHD very well. I have been told twice now by two different professionals that I have ADHD and I can really relate to this guy. It's like he is describing me. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_kt_hn5jRQ0 I know you were really into Jewish stuff for a while and this guy happens to be J... |

Here is a Change.org petition I came across regarding an 18-year-old autistic lad who is being charged with assault for hitting a woman during a panic attack.

I don't really know how to answer this question about transitioning other than what Holland said about leaving stuff out and around for him to find. It may be that any suggestions you try to give him will be rejected just because you are his mom or dad or maybe because other people suggesting and gi... |

I agree with you, Holland and ASDMommy, this sounds like excitement stimming. I hit myself though not enough to injure when happy or excited. I also hit my face and the locus of this excitement in expressing it is like "noodling" my eyes with my fingers. It comes out that way. The other th... |

I think the red is too dark but they do help especially in Walmart I use them sometimes because the light in there is so ... |

You realize those spotty bruises that look like finger marks on both forearms are from banging your forearms on your hip bones.
How about you? |

I wonder if it has to do with a kind of proprioception issue. I have been told that Autistic people have issues with proprioception so I wonder if we don't breathe as unconsciously as other people do. I would be interested to find out. Sometimes when I have an anxiety attack it really affects my br... |
