I collect things, but not to any extreme. I love buying out of print D&D material, especially 1st edition books and Planescape boxed sets and supplements. I also buy other old RPG books. I just love this stuff. They're like sacred texts to me. I collect dinosaurs. Or, at least, I used to until I was... |

Solitary for three days, Martha Stewart for longer, because, I mean, it's better than being forced to share a cell with a sex-starved guy.

I'm agnostic (with somewhat Deist leanings), and I am definitely not a lazy atheist. I disagree with atheism as much as I do with any other religion. I think that saying/believing a certain kind of god definitely exists or definitely doesn't exist and those who don't believe that are wrong is stupi... |

Roger Ebert once elaborated on a few simple truths about media violence everyone needs to be aware of. Since I can't find the source to quote, I'll have to paraphrase, but I agree with essentially everything he said, especially the first two points: 1) You can't talk about the use of violence in a p... |

religion causes more violence than tv and video games, but no one talks about banning that. That's because religion built western civilization. Still there are some that wish to believe that prior to monotheism, mankind lived a peaceful and idyllic existence without warfare, bigotry or corruption. ... |

A useful link for us all: http://www.geocities.com/evilsnack/cliche.htm The truth is, most science fiction has no basis whatsoever in scientific fact. Those that do usually distort these pretensions so badly they insult the audience into asking us to believe it, and that their misunderstanding of th... |

How does "Atheist" get put together with "Agnostic?" There is a very clear differance between the two. Both are non-religious, so of course they go together. But I've found that most people calling themselves 'agnostics' are essentially lazy atheists, so perhaps that's just as well. Now Mormons, Je... |

Jesus was one of over 1000 people who were 'cusified'. So why was his death different? What made his death different to the others? This is actually an argument for, not against, Christianity. There were plenty of failed jewish revolutions and newly founded cults that died with the execution of the... |

Though I find the similarities between Buddhism and the teachings of Christ interesting, we shouldn't confuse the issue and say that Jesus was a 'guru'. This overlooks his essential jewishness. The differences between judaism and buddhism are so numerous, so vast, and so obvious it makes it impossib... |

Spaceballs is one of Mel Brook's better parodies, but that isn't saying much. I used to love this movie and laugh at it all the time, but when I sat down again to watch it some time ago, it wasn't half as good as I remembered it being. About half of the time the movie was funny while the rest of it ... |
