Sometimes malware will hide under the name svchost.exe (normally several of these run at a time anyway). It could be legitimate (though annoying). If Malwarebytes isn't picking it up, it probably is ok, but you could always temporarily install Microsoft Security Essentials. I use both when I think I...

I had a windows 98 computer during college in 2004/2005 that badly needed a reformat. It crashed about every 15 minutes, and usually when I was writing an essay and hadn't saved for a few minutes. Very inconvenient, I tried to use computer labs when possible. My current PC has a glitch with it's vid...

Most of the time my mother cut my hair, and I always hated sitting there for so long and getting my scalp and ears prodded with sharp scissors. I've always had a bowl cut essentially, but in my teens I started doing my own hair and I just use a pair of clippers on the highest length and give myself ...

Newest "pandemic". One of my close friends is a guard at a jail and said a person was arrested with some sort of lung infection that is very contagious and he died within 4 hours of being at the jail and all of the guards and inmates exposed to him had to be tested for it. He wasn't sure of the name...

I know how you feel, I once attended a class by one of my favorite origami authors, who is also a retired laser physicist and made a gaffe that I regret. I stated that my origami dragonfly had a "belly button" due to a small stress rip in the paper, and he replied "Hmm, I have never heard of a drago...

Very interesting, especially the part about origami (to me). I consider myself a visual thinker and have problems with math as she does, but I also excel at origami and wish I could understand the mathematical portion/patterns of it outside of the visual.

I remember very early pieces, most have said I must have imagined them since I would have been only 1-3. I remember being in my grandmother's arms with my favorite blanket when I would have been <6 months, I recently saw a picture at my grandfather's funeral when I was a day old in the same house as...

I take more sick days due to allergies and "mental wellness" than being actually sick. I tend to have more hours than anyone except the boss, everyone else has hardly any. I tend to both feel guilty on my own and am made to feel guilty by my coworkers, and when I return I am told about all the troub...

Aside from "gender roles" affecting treatment or diagnosis (such as men suppressing emotions/actions, or women expressing emotions/actions), the human culture side of the coin, there is the scientific side of the coin where certain disorders/diagnoses are linked to a gender based on brain activity (...

6) You're not going to develop paranoia or delusions. Stop looking things up on the Internet, because eventually you'll end up diagnosing yourself with pregnancy. This cyber-hondria is disconnected from reality. There are so many symptoms on the Internet which actually have a very different meaning...

Since elementary I was pretty much the quiet kid in the corner that got teased and beat up, in middle school I had a burst of popularity due to the pokemon craze, which led to more bullying after the fad died down. In my freshman year though people discovered my talent with origami and I became "pop...

I left WoW after 6 years when they forced the active cross-realm phasing. Too many people running around, I chose a lower population server because I wanted a more intimate experience, running across a player every 15 minutes was acceptable and fun, but every minute or less is far too much (especial...

I counted 14 passes (I think I missed one of the first ones), saw the gorilla, and the 2 S's on the wall between the 3 elevators. I guess I'm desensitized to random people in gorilla suits, but it was easier to spot than following all the motion in the passing of the balls.

Aside from various documentaries, Big Bang Theory/Eureka, etc. and Jon Stewart/The Colbert Report I purely watch cartoons. Current ones on TV that I enjoy are Phenias and Ferb, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Adventure Time. I also enjoy Anime shows and older cartoons from the 80's/90's, but that is...
