This thread is making me slightly paranoid, since I've held this job for over a year now and want to stay in it. I never got fired, but I quit furiously from my first job after doing 100-hour working months for laughable pay on a bogus contract just to get into the market. Looking back, of course t...

Interview went well. It was more of a chat thankfully and she was very warm and friendly. I disclosed my ASD and said why I wanted the job and how I think it will be ideal for me with some of the things I struggle with. Anyway, they said they are happy for me to go and do a work trial with them, the...

Hello, I've been off sick a long time and have agreed to be redeployed as I decided that thee is no way that I can go back to my current role and cope and my bosses agree. Anyway, a job came up that I think I could manage. It's part time instead of full time, I'll be working on my own and in a quiet...

When I was in my 20s, (when I was much less socially functional than now, but long before I knew I was AS) I got fired from a customer-service job literally for being me. The manager said, "You are a very specific kind of person. And that's OK. But this job requires a very different kind of pe...

MMy meeting was nothing like and what the previous poster said. Are we talking about the very first meeting with somebody from the job centre or something else? Personally I am referring to the very first meeting I had with a member of staff from the job centre which was in January this year.

I got fired for making inappropiate comments about a female collegue. Not to her, but to a male collegue who then told another male collegue and then the female collegue's friend overheardd and told her. I knew my comments were inappropiate but I didn't like her or the job so I let it out. It was e...
