Well...the Psychologist who did my assessment asked us (my bride, actually) to ask my-then-still-alive Dad whether I joined in to that kind of things with the other kids. He said I didn't, that I wasn't like that. I couldn't tell you because my memory of the past is very poor. I do remember playing ... |

Think I'm better off not knowing if I have autism or not. I'd be very upset if it turned out I actually do have autism and might make me worry about it more. If you are doing OK without knowing for sure and would prefer not to know for sure then...fine! :thumright: Not getting a definitive answer, ... |

After getting to that post I clicked on the thing that would cause the Rickroll. I wasn't interested so I quickly left that post before Rick could roll. But a few moments later my Norton software proudly declared it had blocked something...sorry, I did not note what it's complaint about the packet w... |

I was diagnosed A u t i s m S p e c t r u m D i s o r d e r , L e v e l 1 ( M i l d ) with a note that I also satisfied the criteria previously associated with Asperger's Syndrome when I was 64—in 2019. By the way, I've been completely retired since 2011. As you indicated, it was wonderful... |

I don't know whether or not there is a problem. I don't know whether any action is required.
But I clicked on the link in this post and moments later my computer's security software warned it had blocked something. |

Well scored 33 on the AQ test but still hate to think of myself of autistic and ADHD. And still wish I was a genius for some reason instead of average. I guess it doesn't help I got all these ideas stuck in my head but kind of hate to put in the effort to get them out. When the AQ test gave me my s... |

You're potentially ASD and potentially ADHD? Beware, they share some symptoms . It can get confusing. Though being both is possible...and something that boggles my mind. That I don't know for sure and I hate to think of myself in such a way. The online test AQ can give you an indication with respec... |

I hope they tread carefully. Mankind has much to lose on this . And I am one of those folk with HFA and when I compare my life to non-Autistic relatives my age, from a similar background, I think it suggests my Autism (mostly) benefited me. Also, I admit some confusion on the technical details. I ha... |

I'm a member of Mensa. My observation is that a high IQ isn't as useful as you'd think.
My guess is you might get further with talent. (I'm guessing. No personal experience there.) |
