1/2 mill houses? Not around here.. :( Here in West Michigan, $500k sounds about average right now for a decent-to-good house, in a good neighborhood, that doesn't need tens of thousands of dollars worth of repairs. Anything selling for pre-pandemic prices usually looks like it needs to be bul...

If you want a $25 an hour job, go find a $25 an hour job you are qualified for and apply to it.

Sounds like a fairy tale to me.

Especially for the small few of us on this site who have ASD. At least I think there are a couple of us here? Maybe one or two?

From Winnie The Pooh Chapter 1: Yup. I just started reading it to my son the other day, and...whew...it is quite something else. Quite something else. And also, quite something else, as it were. Or, sometimes, it is not quite something else. But who can say, if it is something else, or not somethin...

When I first started watching Saturday Anime on the Sci-Fi Channel, I thought "Wow, anime is awesome!" ...then I quickly realized that not every anime is Akira... ¬_¬ Some of them are pretty good, but I prefer shorter ones like Cowboy Bebop, where I don't have to watch 500+ episodes. I use...

When it first came out, "pooh" had a different meaning.

"Winnie", however, was a girl's name.

Not sure how you even get "Winnie-the-Pooh" out of "Edward Bear", though...

like sorry13.65 is too low of pay for a lot of people. Wow, is minimum wage really that high in Colorado? o_O I worked myself crippled for seven years just to make $13, and then they found out that the extra dollar was a mistake and took it away. Apply for, obtain, and work jobs that pay more than ...

You can slow down time by playing the inverted song of time. It'll give you double the time you need.

I almost always had time slowed down, but even that's not going to help you much if you attempt a dungeon on the final day.

I am fairly sure these will be exceptions. These are private institutions. I would be surprised if there are beyond a few here or there if any government mandates. Yeah, CDC is so scared of the "m" word, they won't even recommend wearing one to avoid inhaling wildfire debris. https://cdn....

But if a new variant arises, a variant that is both very contagious and also very deadly, it will produce many months of indecision, inactivity, and confusion. And many people will die. New variant just arrived in Michigan about a week ago (BA.2.86). They say it has a lot of mutations, and it must ...

Yeah, I had no idea. I enjoy the aesthetics of MM and the music, I really wanted to play it. I finally played it a few years ago (on N64 with a tweak patch), and I enjoyed it a lot, but I can see how it could be confusing to a newcomer. They do have a notebook to help you, but a lot of the game is ...

Okay, this is a REAL gaming confession.

Despite having a Zelda avatar, I have never played through an entire Zelda game. I only played majora’s mask and I gave up because it was too hard for me.

To be fair, Majora's Mask might be a difficult place to start.

Elton is also amazing live. One sip of water in a 2.5 hour show. Doesn't miss a single note, singing or fast piano. His live recordings and YT videos are awful, even when they're studio made. The sound is terrible. I don't understand the disconnect because I've seen him about six times as well. Rea...

I notice a similar thing going on with my own music when I try to record it in my home studio - the first test often has a sense of excitement about it that can't quite be reproduced when I come to record it "properly." I have the same problem; as soon as I turn on the metronome, the song...

Maybe I should've avoided playing Breath of the Wild this year, so the new game would feel fresher. Yeah, Idunno. I haven't played BotW since I beat it ~80 hours after the DLCs came out. After that, I went through and replayed all of the mainline game (a few for the very first time). I was partway ...

You are right but in general the current strain of the virus is not as deadly as previous strains. I don't care too much about "deadly", what Covid did to me is worse than death. Each time I've caught it, I wound up sicker than the last time...and any sort of recovery I might have gained ...
