my DS has always been a jumper. When he is happy or excited you can find him bouncing high in the air! Recently he has taken to hand flapping while jumping. He used to be a major chewer on any and everything. he still enjoys chewing but much less then in the past. When he was about 2-3 he used to lo...

That was always my issue with DS. A lot of the things he did was considered NT, but it was taken to the extreme. I was always told, "all kids do this" but not to the level my son took it. I can only compare him to my DD who is NT and light years different from him. She is a 4yo, with 4yo behaviors. ...

I honestly don't have issues with my NT 4yo. Compared to her big bro, she is a cake walk. She has typical 4yo issues, but she is sooo easy to deal with. One of my complaints with her is that she copies her friends, again something didn't have to deal with from DS. But I am assured that is NT stuff. ...

see my son is so not the hunter explorer type. He is in indoor homebody who loves any and everything electronics! So, he doesn't have that natural instinct, guess that is good for me! You might be surprised, many times children follow their parents lead, if both parents are home bodies or into elec...

I would have issue with it knowing my particular son. Also, in the schools these days, a child found with a notebook filled with drawings of weapons, explosives, cannons etc may be subject to disciplinary action. Maybe discuss with him your concerns and why you are worried about his interest and see...

My son is 8 and has been homeschooled since he was K. So we are on our 4th year and loving it. We make sure he is active in all the local homeschool groups, and he has a nice bunch of friends, homeschooled and public schooled! Look up homeschool groups in your area and join up, there are so many act...

My opinion is that all things will be exposed when age/development appropriate. Maybe I am seen as coddling my son by others? Maybe not? The way I see it, I expose him gradually and incrementally and work with him thru life. Rather then throw him to the wolves, we navigate it together! So far so go...

... I don't think it's fair to the parents to call that denial. Some children with regression have a precipitous drop where over the course of a short time, they go from talking and using small sentences to nonverbal. It is possible that there were subtle signs present before this sudden regression...
