| A million people would leave large piles of bodies that would be hard to dispose of. You might be able to come up with a figure of a million if you count everyone who dies of anything: natural causes, infant mortality, street crime, terrorism, and civilian casualties in the war on terror. |

The military's estimate is about 5,000. The 100,000 figure is anti-war propaganda that lumps the people killed by terrorists with the people killed by coalition forces. |

| Not in "America", only in the USA. But is always a normal way in assessing new legislation to see what other countries do. An automatic, semi automatic or machine gun is in the most countries of "rich club of the west" seen as a weapon for warfare and for such weapons have much tougher restrictions... |
