As I said, my reasoning may be flawed, but it works for me. This is in spite of my obvious inability to express abstract ideas in words.

If you want to know more about Catholics and Catholicism, all you have to do is ask nicely. Speaking as a lifelong Catholic, I don't appreciate the sass. I learned enough about Catholics while attending seminary to put me off Catholicism for life. That's not to say that Catholics are bad, it's just...

art interpretation is just another language- like computer programming or maths. it has its own logic and it has its own patterns which hinge often on universal motifs and analogy and metaphor as mentioned above. really good artists start developing their own visual language which has meaning to th...

I've grown more leary of the phone lately, because whenever I've called a vendor for technical support, it seems that their entire technical staff is either on holiday, laid off, or out sick; but oh, their cheerful and well-informed sales staff just happens to be available to take my call ... after ...

I didn't so much care about losing my virginity, I just wanted to get laid ! As far as making the first time "special," I just wanted it (for me) to be without interruptions, a struggle, or embarrassment. I was concerned for her comfort, of course, but if she hadn't been willing I'd have f...

The whole idea of "Art Interpretation" is pretentious. I mean, if I like a painting and it will fit over my sofa, then I'll buy it. If there are pretty girls in skin-tight leotards bouncing around on stage, then I'll buy a front-row ticket. But if some arrogant artsy-fartsy type looks down his nose ...

I think everyone knows who I am and what my deal is, so count me in! :D But I woul protet that mydelusion exists only in the minds of nonbelievers. Not all nonbelievers I might say, the term delusional used in this case is actually innacurate, informal and just a personal opinion towards it, formal...

Home.

I have a well-stocked pantry and wine cooler, a gas grill in the back yard for cooking, a wood-burning fireplace, and plenty of candles.

Virginity is more of a conceptual status than a physical state of being. True, the loss of one's virginity requires a physical act, but nothing measureable is really lost. I know virginity is spiriutal, but if anything this makes me feel even more sorry for it since that spirit of virginity might b...

Any philosophy can become a religion if you can invoke a causal deity.

Denying a causal deity converts any religion to a mere philosophy.

So why spend money, time, and effort on worship, when you can just live the philosophical tenets of a religion?

There was once a "musician" called Tiny Tim, who sang in a falsetto voice while playing a ukelele. He married a woman called Miss Vicky, and objected when she came on to him on their wedding night, citing similar reasons as the OP in this thread. Virginity is more of a conceptual status than a physi...

Freeze-drying?

Salting?

Smoking?

Honey-Glazing?

1. Prepare for her to have a meltdown. 2. Offer to pay for her trip. In other words, I suggest that you call her bluff, as it seems to me that she is trying to assert the only form of control she has over you to keep you from making choices for yourself, in the hope that her leaving would be so unth...
