Great thread. I don't have much experience speaking to AS people (I've done it before but like once or twice). If you know the person is AS, you will obviously have to cut him some slack. It's different when you don't know he is autistic though. I think if people knew that I am some of them would pr...

When you are friends with someone for long enough you already know how he/she responds to certain situations. Try to share some less harmful secrets with him first. Test him. My advise is not to tell too many people about your AS. When it comes me to only my familiy knows and one friend, that I've b...

A simple and fun thread I hope wasn't already posted. What's the story behind your username? I'll start. I am a friendly person by nature, and sometimes it doesn't show because of my AS. My name explains my intents and in this place every one is who he/she really is, you don't have to hide your diff...

Confidence is attractive but it's not everything. I recall hearing all people judge by physical characteristics and first impression. Eg women will prefer tall guys that are not overweight over those who are. Confidence can help for sure, since it makes the person even greater than if he was with ze...

I agree. You shouldn't kill yourself outright. What you need is aerobic training to burn calories fast (for example; treadmill, spinning, stepper). Start slowly and progress in time. One hour a day exercising is enough to lose weight, otherwise it will wear you out. Go to the nearest gym or do it ou...

Well, I have one close friend I've been in touch with for many many years. Last week I told him about the terrible truth. He said like WTF he said I look and act completely normal. It's just this friend knows absolutely nothing whatsoever about my condition and I don't think he's about to seriously ...

I've had situations where someone hasn't told me in any way that they dislike me. In fact, they often appear friendly. As a result, I treat them like a friend, only to find out from someone else that I'm actually despised. The more I'm friendly to them, the more they despise me. They think that I'm...
