Thanks, Ariel. I just corrected the confusion in my previous post and clarified.

I've now clarified in my OP as well.

Could everyone please answer the OP all over again now that it's correctly enunciated? Sorry for the confusion... :( :( :(

Thank you all for your comments so far!! ! Looking forward to more.

I think I should clarify, thought, that what I'm trying to prove wrong is the following statement:

Almost everyone chooses to belong to a pyramid for protection against sudden misfortune in exchange for their soul.

TD, I don't think being aware that you're Autistic would make your membership to a pyramid more possible. The last thing a pyramid can afford is someone who says the king is nude, for example. Or someone oblivious to and slow at understanding of the maze of hierarchies (which are not formal and ther...

I remember when 25 years ago, we young, pretty and broke immigrant girls without families in the country were often approached with offers of cages of gold. Orthodox religious families, pyramidal families, etc. would try to charm us into the golden life of leisure and luxury where all we had to give...

the most common method of control I've encountered is the person at the top of the pyramid pitting people lower down against each other, either scapegoating those lower than them or making people compete for favor with those higher than themselves. the person at the top decides who the target is. T...

Except for very rare exceptions, people are very dependent on other people. Almost everyone chooses to belong to a pyramid for protection against sudden misfortune in exchange for their soul. ---> this is the thesis I'm asking you to disprove. Most people can do very little in life in terms of indep...

I don't know what happened there, and I don't know if we'll ever know for sure. All I do know is that my prediction of how people in general would react to the scenes on TV was wrong. This is having bad ToM.

My intuition seems to be particularly severely impaired when it's about how people in general will likely react to something. I don't seem to have a problem with intuition in other areas. Eg: On 9/11, when I came home from work and watched the scenes on TV, I said: "Oh those towers are imploding, no...

I've also been looking for one, for a long time. But there aren't any active ones. And no, for now at least, NLD is not mentioned in the DSM and it's diagnosed as a learning impairment, not part of Autism. Big mistake, because it's part of the neurodiversity.

The risk, though, is generalising, forgetting that each individual is different, so not all rules apply equally to each one. That's precisely the point of the thread. What we ask NTs to give us here is precisely the generalizations . Generalizing IS the safe way and not the risk. Because when a per...

Don't change a thing in the cartoons. It loses the funny effect.

Do remove the comment that you are a self-diagnosed Aspie from your blog. Leave it at Aspie. It's no one's business if you're self-diagnosed or diagnosed by some 27-y/o Psychologist who knows less about AS than you.

FePixie is absolutely right about all she said. Also, for self-confidence, you can join some Facebook Aspie communities such as AWA and AWN and see how many of those who are artists and auhors there and have published stuff are actually formally diagnosed.
