Well, that problem sorted itself out in the worst way possible. I'm too ill to go. I'm feeling pretty depressed now. I don't have anyone I can rely on and I'm sick. Actually, that's not true. A friend dropped a bag of groceries off at my door for me. Next year I'm booking the pets into boarding on w...

I have ME/CFS already, so I'm expert in power resting. We have a symptom called Post Exertion Malaise. Any Exertion can set me backwards, so I have to pace myself and prioritise tasks. Today I am roasting chicken and making stock and that is it. After that I will go back to bed and listen to some po...

I've just tested positive for COVID. I can't believe I managed to avoid it for so long. I've got a horrible raw sore throat and a streaming nose. I ache all over and can hardly sleep. My skin feels weird and tingly. Drying my hands on a towel is a very strange sensation. Sorry. Take care. As has be...

Independent animal. I just need someone to come in and feed them twice a day, make sure they are happy and empty the litter box. I'm making this bigger in my head than it needs to be. If worst comes to the worst I can drop them off at my parents who live an hour away. I don't really want to unsettle...

Thanks. I'm sure I'll work something out. I just needed to have a moan about it. I've been ill a lot lately and have just been pushing this task down the road again and again thinking I'll just deal with it when I feel better and now I'm stressed because of my own inactivity. Ho hum.

sometimes you have to put people on the spot to get a definitive answer. without a definitive answer, where are you? I mean I don't want them to feel like they have to say yes when it's not something they actually want to do. A no is totally fine. A begrudging yes where they won't really look after...

I don't phone because I don't want to put anyone on the spot and make them feel like they have to say yes if they don't want to do it.

When people text me, I text them that same day with a response.

I think I'm going to have to cancel my holiday because I'm useless and disorganised. I need a pet sitter and can't find one. I had hoped my friend who pet sat last time would do it again. She kept telling me how much she enjoyed looking after my pets, but when I sent her a message a few months ago a...

I genuinely don't know. I very rarely have more than 2 beers. I find the taste quite strong. I'm a pale ale drinker and even that's a bit strong tasting for me.

I'm also very stingy. Alcohol is expensive and I try and make my drinks last as long as possible.

Why not go out with the idea of trying out new non-alcoholic drinks. Gamify it. Have a beer you like, but then make the next drink a new one you haven't tried before. The fentimens ginger beers and lemonades are really nice. There's all sorts of flavours of J20. Try a micktail. I'm not sure if you l...

I saw the Flying Scotsman go past earlier today. I don't know that it counts as "the best" in terms of best train, but it's certainly cool seeing it on the go for the first time. I also saw the steam train going over the Glenfinnan viaduct last year and that was very enjoyable. They really...

I've got a few friends who are really nice people. No one ever asks them out, yet this crazy girl they know is the one who has not just interest, but a proposal. Life is weird. I know this will affect one of my friends badly. I don't think she actually dislikes the girl, but I'm just like, why her a...
