So ... it seems to be an issue among girls that appearing "brainy" in front of boys makes those girls feel less attractive to those boys. Since when is a brainy girl or woman unattractive? I'd rather have a meaningful conversation with Suparna, the Rocket Scientist; than Rebecca, the Journalist. Som... |

That must be it ... proper diction, grammar, and pronunciation may seem like a foreign accent to most Americans, especially in the Deep South or in urban areas.
Urban: "Yo! Supp, yo?"
Southern: "Ha yawl?"
Proper: "Hello. How are you?" <-- Obviously a clueless foreigner! |

Scientology is probably no worse than Jim Jones' People's Temple, David Koresh's Branch Davidians, or the Libertarian Party. |

I've learned that every friend is a potential traitor, and to never do a favor for someone without immediately receiving a favor in return (strictly "Quid-Pro-Quo"). I bet your neighbours love you, Fnord. They only come 'round when they need a favor, such as when their kids are selling stuff, when ... |

When delegates from the Southern Baptist Convention met in June , they went on record to admit that sex abuse is reprehensible, sinful—and happening. That said, they refused pressure to create a database that would screen church workers and, presumably, prevent pedophiles from re-employment. It's a... |

Nearly everyone bemoaned the "sweeteners" that were part of the $700 billion financial bailout passed by Congress in October. But one unexpected—and undercovered—surprise was that the plan included the passing of the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act of 2008. Under this bill, employers ... |

Your posts are pointless.
You do not state what you are doing, yet you expect us to be impressed.

From a man's POV, and that of a supervisor: I usually counsel the guys first on what constitutes harassment in the workplace, but some just don't seem to get it. They're the ones who usually end up getting fired for coming on to one of the line workers or secretaries, for staring, or for simply bein... |
