One thing a friend of mine and myself do hope is that you do not go insane trying to resolve this.

It's a bit late to hope for that, but thanks anyway.

Polygamy should be legal (it's neither sinful, nor immoral in any way). Monogamy became the designated standard because of the Romans, and polygamy worked just fine for 200,000 years before that. I don't know about the 200,000 years bit, but whatever yeah, for loads of millennia polygamy (unfortuna...

A couple of men would be so handy right now,so much gardening work. Just think...the more men you marry...the greater the odds at least one will have a high paying job, like doing yard work, car work, home repair, and taking out the trash. Some men like me do both the housework and the pa...

Because my history of meeting atheists is that they are disgusting, in the sense that they don't talk nice. They are rude. Those are just militant atheists, usually previously churchians who got tired of baloney and not necessarily having their atheism rooted in logic but more in emotion. I'm not a...

The main point of the government recognising marriage is to side-step inheritance tax. If they allowed chain marriages, inheritance tax would largely become redundant. Perhaps if the state were to have a tax on number of spouses within a household, working the opposite of dependents or whatever mat...

I think polygamy should be legal, since (as AspieOtaku said) you can be in love with two people at once. And who does it harm? Provided fair treatment of wives/husbands, nobody. I think, even without polygamy being prominent, just it being made lawful again (in a manner fair to both men and women) ...

I don't think it's immoral, I just don't know how you could make it work legally. The main point of the government recognising marriage is to side-step inheritance tax. If they allowed chain marriages, inheritance tax would largely become redundant. I don't know about that being the reason, but I'm...

Niether the OT, nor the NT, spells out that "only monogamy is allowed". Not so. References? The Bible is explicit about one man and one woman coming together to form a union. From the same link as above: http://www.bibleresearch.org/articles/alw2.htm (and no, I do not claim to subscribe to anything...

I dont get it, why is there so much hatred in this world? Like racism and people waging wars over eachother based on religion? Its pretty stupid if you ask me. Over each other? Due to jealousy or greed. Based on religion? Because of the doctrines taught about how to make converts and various threat...

If you choose to be a vegan, that's fine by me. But what you call an addiction to meat is what I call the natural human diet. In fact, our prehuman ancestors had grown brain size by having by necessity to eat meat as well as plants. Isn't that Lamarckianistic? What dat? Lamarckian evolution, as opp...

Actually, I wasn't doing any such thing. I'm being quite serious. Okay. Still I rather do what I can within the law and remain a lawful citizen rather than go berserk and just end up on the news as a bad example to not follow or yet another pretext for more nanny state rules. Or you could be a hero...

The battle for Byzantium might have been won if they had gotten reinforcements in time, but most of their allies abandoned them.
