I generally prefer Baroque with its higher level of contrapuntal movement to Classical with its higher level of Alberti bass. I've even said to people that I wish the young Mozart had followed CPE Bach rather than JC Bach (because CPE was closer to his father's style!). A lot of my favourite moments... |

I can't be specific about that but you might be asked or expected to be specific about any areas of difficulty and possibly to make suggestions. If that happens, they might treat any lack of response as an excuse for any failure to accommodate, whether rightly or wrongly, legally or illegally. Bear ... |

We met with the head on Monday. The meeting was pleasant enough, but I don't think we said half of what we intended to. I felt a bit better afterwards, nonetheless. But, the very next day, my daughter came home and told us that she had been accused of trying to strangle someone and was sent to the ... |

People here have disagreed with me on this before but I'll still say the same thing. You should declare it for the simple reason that if anything goes wrong, you will have evidence to use against them if needed. Keep quiet and they will plead ignorance, probably successfully. |

There used to be a site called "Institute for the Study of the Neurologically Typical". This seems to have been saved from that site before it disappeared. |

Now, as for how a disclosure of your AS would alter your boss's opinion of you, try building up to the disclosure by researching famous people (and fictional characters) who exhibited Aspergian characteristics and discuss these people with your boss, highlighting any relevant comparisons both to you... |

It's good that you notice and care. It's also good that you have open-minded colleagues so I think it would be good to discuss things with them. Think of the positive aspects of Hans Asperger's observations eg "little professors" and discuss how this boy is a "little professor" just like Hans Asperg... |

I suggest that you make a written formal complaint about the teacher, which should be sent to the principal. The teacher, by making an allegation of laziness, was actually making a presumption of guilt, so argue that the teacher was acting illegally in doing so. Failure to allow for conditions which... |

Because of our brain structure, which has a reduced level of sensory processing and sensory integration as compare to the NT brain.
Some of us, myself included, think this is because of a reduced level of white matter connectivity across the brain. |

consider what you could produce in your own style of music by using motivic techniques! my good man, will those translate into pops compositions accessible to the casual radio listener? I'm sure there are those who could do it. It has happened to some extent in crossover music in the opposite direc... |

Get beyond the concept of long melody and think of motivic structures instead. Coming from a classical music background, I can tell you that Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No 3 (probably pre-1721) and Brahms' 2nd Symphony (1877) are based upon a melodically-identical three-note motif yet they are compl... |

I would strongly suggest that Asperger's Syndrome is your primary condition and that the stress of living with the traits of Asperger's in an unaccepting society has actually caused the onset of your other mental conditions. I believe that this happens on a very widespread basis and that there would... |
