I guess you're right, Sylat. I was just a little off-put that the notion of popularity exists here on WP. Anyway, hey to Sylat, zzmondo, CockneyRebel, et al. |

The title of this thread kinda threw me for a second. Why would one of the places where there probably are Aspies against the notion of popularity happen to have a thread displaying it? |

Yeah, you're on the right planet :P Funny a prof would say that and there you are, proving him/her wrong, and he might not even realize it!! You're also pretty brave, sitting in a room when you felt uncomfortable and didn't even make complain about it outwardly!! All that being said, Welcome to WP :... |

Another one that comes close is this: EDIT: Sparx, I find it cool how you're username is a Spyro character while your avatar is of Rayman :P [youtube]http://www.youtube.com/... |

Here are a few that come to mind for me: 1) Mad Maestro (PS2) - It's one of the few music games based around gameplay as an orchestra conductor! Didn't gain a lot of popularity because the concept was aimed at a pretty limited audience. 2) BRAHMA Force: The Assault on Beltlogger 9 (PS1) - Normally I... |

feeling is not knowing. you may be alone for the rest of your life, or not. the rest of your life might be another hour or another 70 years. it is certain that everything you think you have will be lost. there is no such assurance that anything you think you want will be attained. the mind grants u... |

But others can, and I can't bear not being wanted. Can't bear being alone. That's difficult and I completely empathize with this. It's Friday night and I'm posting on an internet forum. Clearly I'm not Miss Popularity. Within the last couple of years I've lost touch with most of my circle of friend... |

While I'm sure I could come up with a list, I think it'd be moot point to follow it to the letter. Most of the time where I say there's a particular trait that turns me off I always find someone who's an exception. Not to mention, I'd like to keep my options pretty open (within reason, of course). |

Say, how come this thread isn't stickied?? I would have thought it was a good idea to hear of positive relationship stories here on WP :S Because too many miserable people would get offended by its presence. But I would think a forum as big as this needs a mix of both :? Sure, there might be... |

Christianity, is not what is keeping you from finding someone nor is the fact that you play video games It's true people can be nit picky about those things but if they are then they're not the people you want to date I will say this, that your idea of wanting to share "just one aspect of my life" ... |

I had an aspie friend who thought it was ok to be agressive and "taking out rage" on everyone. I think for some aspies, ones with mental health problems alongside, the diagnosis has been harmful because , the whole "self esteem" aspect of the AS world , makes them think every part of them is ok and... |

I'm finding a little bit of a disconnect between the subject title and the question you asked in the forum post. I don't think that an Aspie having a bad relationship with an NT should automatically lead to Aspies being stopped from having a (romantic) relationship and vice versa. Like some of the p... |

^No, I do think they deserve mates, but I don't understand why not having social skills should be looked at so different as not having physical or mental skills. I can't put myself in their shoes though as I've never had any girl ever say or even hint that she was attracted to me. I would not even ... |

I do find myself in positions where I help others with their relationships better than I can with my own, and I think it's a matter of what our perception is when analyzing it. I don't know about you guys, but for me personally, watching a relationship from the sidelines means the only thing I'm ana... |
