Anything more than a cup of tea shuts my brain down. I can drink energy drinks that don't have the caffiene though and those really give me a jolt and I can think well on them. The caffiene seems to kill the effects though.

My memory work in an all-encompassing manner. If i learn something in an environment, then forever in my mind, that bit of information will be linked to all the other forms of sensory input I experienced at the time I learned it. For example, if I learn to do a new type of math problem while sitting...

Ginny, we are about the same age and my mother doesn't like me for many reasons. I think you are definitely not the only one who messes up occasionally. :)

Well if you didn't do it on purpose or couldn't control whether or not you did this "bad" thing, then I don't think you have a way to change this behaviour. If your parents are mean to you about this, then they are likely just exhausted and acting out inappropriately.

Whatever you did that was bad, did you do it on purpose?

If not, then you have not been a bad person. That is my opinion though...my parents would likely disagree.

PTSD would certainly describe a lot of those problems. I'll bring it up to him and see what he says. Keep us updated on your findings. I am interested. I have PTSD coupled with heavy Aspie traits so my PTSD symptoms were not too obviously PTSD at first glance by my therapist and psychaitrist. I sus...

Wow. Although it isn't technically "legal" to rape Asperger women, the Court of Appeal has set a legal precedent with their ruling and the highest court confirmed it by refusing to hear the case. This is terrible.

I think it is anxiety and the flood of hormones caused by anxiety.

I am an Aspie female so my advice might not work on normal girls but it might. I suggest you figure out which girls you like, then figure out what they like to do (kayaking, bicycling, yoga, etc.), and then start doing that thing yourself. So, if you think the girls in the pilates or yoga class at y...

I agree with OliveOilMom. I also agree that you are not a sociopath.

If anything, you exhibit signs of post traumatic stress disorder in someone that was already bipolar. A complex case to be sure.

I have had almost this exact same dream except without my mom in it. Weird. Wow thats quite interesting. What exactly happened in your version of the dream? Do you believe that dreams of this type might reveal something psychological that might be going on? When I have this experience in dreams, it...

On February 8th, I had to euthanize both of my pet lop-earred bunnies. They were 8 and 8.5 years old and I had them both since they were little baby bunnies. I have not been able to cry but I am very sad...heartbroken really, about their deaths. I don't cry from sadness...or anything really. I go fo...

Yay! Congrats on your diagnosis! I, too am a woman that was diagnosed at age 29. It was definitely strange to find out that SO MANY of my quirks were actually shared by my fellow Aspies.

Welcome to WP. It is really great here. :D
