That's not really easy for us. One on one, I can pass as NT for short periods.....but career depot person suggested that I use networking skills.....I've tried that. Doesn't really work. In groups of people, I'm overlooked and ignored.

People prefer to be those that are powerful/influential/popular. If you're none of those things than be prepared to eat alone unless you find other outcasts. Even amongst NT outcasts, they will toss you aside if they get a crumb thrown to them from the in crowd.

I guess you could get used to Florida....out west you have scorpions, tarantulas and potato bugs....but something seems scary to me about alligators.

About those state roads in Florida. You don't want to walking on those as an adult let alone a child. The alligators and snakes as well as the weirdos FL is known are scary. You are lucky to have made it.

Nope, you're not self dx'd from what I see. Your dx was made but the problem is tracking it down. I had the same problem and for all the same reasons. My family won't talk about it.

I tried recently to get a dialogue going with my mom about this and she clearly ignored everything I said (Facebook private message).

So Kraftie, I'm thinking infantile autism is what was suggested to my mom about me . Your story helps me get closure. ☺

My folks took me to the county mental health clinic at age 4. I was unmanageable to say the least. I was not your sweet and shy Asperger kid.
