College is a naturally stressful time. Is it only the social aspect or are classes, assignments, etc, adding to it? If those are problems, revisiting your study habits can ease it. Otherwise be sure to get in some quiet time and don't be too hard on yourself.

People are weird. But yeah, some "normal" things turn me off, like making out. A deep kiss once in a while is okay, but mashing tongues for 20 minutes is rather unattractive. So I can relate.

Be yourself is a stupid advice if your current qualities are the problem. Yep. I think you can be true to yourself while improving your lot in life, too. Learning a new skill or taking better care of yourself, your home, and your relationships doesn't fundamentally change your values or interests. ...

There are authors that didn't even start writing until they were older than you. So there's time. You can expect to live another 40-50+ years barring accidents or illness. That's a long time. If you know there are things holding you back or not working do whatever you can do about them, even if it's...

I worked as a morning baker for a few months at a bagel and sandwich shop. Got up at 2am and had to bike in for a while. I was proud of my work, but the conditions were terrible, the people were trashy, and the work was miserable. Typical retail/foodservice stuff. Our shifts for full-time employees ...

Do you have time to drop into a coffee shop or something for a while? In my experience, if it's slow employees are often willing to chat for a while. There's a few unfriendly ones around here but most are nice.

Some people are ignorant, like the one who uses rude name-calling. Some grow out of it. Others stay the same. They're missing out.

Mainly things like book clubs, card or tabletop gaming, and work. There was a point where I considered myself super-introverted. When I got older and having at least a rudimentary social circle seemed more attainable I started to really want it more.

I see the real me as more about a few basuc principles. How I express those changes as I grow but the important parts stay the same. Life would get boring if tastes never changed even for small things. Everything old was new once.

I'd talk to a doctor if you get worried about weight. If you're eating well and exercising, it's not a slider-sized burger that's going to do you in.

Not all change is unreasonable, and like some people have said, they still do want to socialize. For me, I wanted to lead my own life, be independent, and have my own space. That required a degree of masking regardless of who I am at home or what I really think. That's preferable to being fed and sh...

I don't need much alone time as long as the social setting is calm. I get tired very easily in a crowd.

Not as severe, but I have a small whiteboard that I can move around. If I need to remember something for later, it's always somewhere I'll glance at it once I get up from the computer for a drink, go into the kitchen, etc.

Dreamed I was talking to one of my old high school friends who moved away. She'd moved away in the dream, too, and we didn't feel like we knew each other anymore. Not that different from real-life, but a weird and kind of sad thing to crop up in a dream.
