I wasn’t particularly bothered about turning 30. By that point, I had a job at least but I still lived at home with my parents and I was still single. That remains the situation today but I have made progress towards my goal of buying my own home and I hope to get on the property ladder in the next ...

I walk to work every morning which is a distance of 2 and a half miles. I also work out with dumbbells 4-5 times a week mostly focusing on my upper body. I’m in reasonable shape as a result of all that but I could benefit from doing some more exercise that focuses on my core.

Ok, we’ll see if that can be maintained during the next 12 months. I’m still far from optimistic on the UK’s economic prospects in the short to medium term. As a remainer, I now accept that my side has decisively lost. I just hope that the UK ends up joining the EFTA/EEA within the next few years. I...

Yes, you only tend to see armed officers in busy areas of major cities like airports, railway stations and areas very popular with tourists like Buckingham Palace or Westminster Abbey. Even in those places, not every officer will have a firearm.

I don't think he's an MP. https://news.sky.com/story/would-be-mayor-dan-jarvis-must-now-quit-as-mp-11301536 He is still an MP. He was re-elected for Barnsley Central in last week’s election. I don’t think he’ll go for it as he has a young family and wants to prioritise them over leadership ambitions.

How do people in England feel about Scotland, Ireland, and Wales? Do you think they should all be a part of the UK or their own stand-alone countries? I used to think that all four home nations should remain in the union but the events of the past few years have made me think again. I’m increasingl...

I miss the days of Monty Python, Benny Hill, The Two Ronnies, and others like them.  While they weren't always funny , they were always entertaining . Have you ever seen The League of Gentlemen? If you like the darker, surreal side of Python, then you’ll be probably enjoy that show. I’m a big fan o...

More than £80 billion has been added to the value of Britain's biggest companies in a 'Boris bounce' since the general election. As investors continued to cheer the Tory's crushing victory, the FTSE [Financial Times Stock Exchange] 100 index rose 2.25 per cent yesterday on its best day for a year. ...

I think you’ve said before that you’re in Texas, right? Perhaps try moving to a different part of the state that’s a bit more liberal like Austin or failing that, leave Texas and go somewhere else. I understand that you may not have the means to relocate but if you do, it may be an option worth cons...

I’m a Labour Party member so I am able to vote for the next leader. I could see myself supporting Lisa Nandy. She comes across well and seems to understand what Labour needs to do to reconnect with the voters that they’ve alienated. I like Rebecca Long-Bailey too but her close association with Corby...

Queues were reported at polling stations throughout my part of London this morning. I reckon it’s people who are at their work Xmas outings tonight making sure they vote...
