I have an NT older sister, who's 31. We're actually really close. When we were growing up she always watched out for me and basically spoke for me because I was so quiet. The other day she just casually mentioned, in the middle of a random conversation, that she thought I shouldn't have kids. At fir... |

On top of having Asperger's, I was born with a bone disease called osteogenesis imperfecta. I look normal (average height, weight, etc.), but my bones break like glass because my body doesn't produce enough collagen. In bones, collagen acts like the steel rebar in a concrete structure, in that it gi... |

I remember reading somewhere that the specific chemistry, and the firing patterns of neurons, in the brain of someone with a crush is nearly identical to that of someone who has obsessive compulsive disorder. Essentially, when you have a crush on someone, your brain's chemistry and firing patterns s... |

What double standard? I was referring to me as an Aspie looking at young girls and not realizing it. Not a NT gay guy who is staring at me. If a guy is staring at me, it can only one thing: trouble. He's looking for trouble. He's probably a robber or someone who wants to fight me for no reason. If ... |

^^^ Exactly what I was gonna say. On a random side note, the mention of Beaverton reminds me that I went to high school with a girl who's now a porn star named Lexxi Tyler, who was originally from there. To answer #9: in my experience, when people want to go swimming but they don't have a swimsuit, ... |

I wasn't staring at him. There is a girl of his height and I thought it might have been her. I have poor eyesight, as well. I can see close but not good faraway. I can hear excellent. Besides, I made no eye contact with him. When he looked up, I simply looked away. I don't find men attractive at al... |

Clive Barker. I'm in the middle of re-reading The Great and Secret Show. One of the characters, Fletcher, is very aspie-like. I just read this part a few hours ago: "...Fletcher cursed his inadequacy. He'd never been much good at persuasion, leaping from banality to visions with no proper grasp of t... |

I was at place where one of my relative is at. Sorta like an retirement home. So I was reading the paper and happen to look up at this guy for about a few seconds. When he looked up at me, I quickly looked away. So he tells a girl that I was looking at him. As I go up to go to the restroom, he is s... |

Just go to amazon.com and search for "Fight Club Soundtrack." Then, just scroll down the page and listen to the samples of each of the songs until you find the one you're looking for. |

I think you should wait until it actually becomes a problem before discussing it with your boss. Especially if it's a new job and you don't really know them that well yet. If you really feel that you need to tell them, at least give them a while to get to know you and get a complete picture of your ... |

I didn't get my license until I was 23. I think I just saw it as a bigger responsibility than most of the people I knew, so I put off getting it for a long time. ...I think that's because I was just paying attention to the wrong thing at the wrong time. Over the years, I've learned what to pay atten... |

Walking in snow. As it moves and compresses, to me it makes that same horrible, screeching sound you get when you take a big piece of styrofoam out of a box.
Same thing with chewing ice...ugg. |

Straightedge is just a hardcore fad that will be over once you reach your 20's. In the 1980's it was serious but it's just a joke now. Yep. From about 1999-2003 I was really into AFI and, of course, a lot of my friends who were into them ran around with big black X's on their hands and would talk a... |
