On my mind is how annoying game shows can be in this day and age. It seems like the most annoying contestant is the one that always wins. Also on my mind is how annoying social media is. On my mind is how I wish I could pick up my family and transport us back to the 1970s. I know there were problems...

Eye contact has always been a problem for me. I don't want people to think I am rude, but I cannot help that I find it very difficult to look them in the eye. When someone is looking me in the eye, I feel like something is shoving my head in another direction.

1. To finish the book I am writing about my growing up with Asperger's. I am nearly finished but could use an editor before I publish it. 2. To continue digitizing the photographs from my parents' and grandparents' vast accumulation of pictures. I have a good start on it, but I need to keep at it. I...

I don't watch it now. I am a traditionalist and I liked Richard Dawson as the host. I tend to like things as they were originally done. I liked the style of television of yesteryear and a lot of today's stuff annoys me. I think it has to do with the style or flavor of many of today's shows that I di...

I love having Asperger's. Why? Because it has given me gifts and talents that I probably would not have had if I had been NT. I find my special intense interests (roller coasters, house plans, etc.) as very relaxing and fun. I have invented an entire amusement park that I enjoy most nights after I l...

I have known since childhood I was different, but I didn't know why. After nineteen years of teaching English, I became a gifted intervention specialist. I had a student who began talking about Asperger's Syndrome. I hadn't heard of it. I researched it on the internet and felt a chill come over me. ...
