When left to myself (e.g. during the summer), I start having 26-27h cycles, so I end up sometimes sleeping at day, sometimes at night, it rotates through a week or two. When I have slept enough, I work most efficiently in the morning, but I still prefer the night.

Speaking of misconceptions, it seems like a lot of Americans think democracy=capitalism, with the result that any criticism of capitalism is seen as an attack against democracy. Democracy is a political system. Capitalism is an economic system. The USA is constitutional republic with a mixed econom...

Socialism (in its original sense) and communism were originally not ideologies, but inevitable marxist historical phases. What happened in Russia and the others was that they skipped the capitalist phase and the socialist phase and decided that they were establishing communism right away. Not that t...

It is rather silly to see any of these as inevitable, especially since communism and fascism are broadly discredited and the others are at best notional, otherwise undefined. It is futile to predict the future in such ways. From the present, it is easy to see that those of the past did not (fore)see...

What is your first name? I'd rather not say. Age: 21 Location: Montréal, Canada Hobbies and Interests: History, mostly. I play some video games and read. Why are you here? I have doubts about AS. The more I read, the more it fits. I started by finding it funnily fitting, now it's scarily fitting. Wh...

I check to see if I left something blank (because I always do) and to complete half-answered questions, but if it's already written... alea iacta est. In any case, if I'm not sure to begin with, I leave it blank at first, so if it's filled, it's right.

I never call anyone a friend until they say I'm a friend. It resets after a certain amount of time without meaningful contact. Everyone else is an acquaintance -- except people I know from work, either colleagues or customers. I currently have one friend.

I don't like it much either. However, it's the only way I can be in contact with two friends whom I can't really see otherwise. Otherwise, I like playing Snake and Bejeweled Blitz and posting weird stuff. I have a fake name, an unrelated picture, friend-only restrictions on everyting and a total of ...

If the casino makes money despite several expenses and with very little production, then you probably don't.

Besides, having 1$ is better than 50% chance of either having 2$ and 0$, decreasing marginal utility and all.

I vary a lot. I like strange references to things which I learn (through experience) people don't know. I like long, drawn out association of different ideas, as if working through a logical argument to the end with obviously faulty premises, with surprising results. And I like making complete non s...

I agree about soup spoons. These things are unwieldly and gigantic. I always take smaller ones, whateverthe purpose -- even though the handle on those we have right now is really tiny. I always have my own spot around the table. Actually, it isn't exactly "the same", as we set up differently dependi...

I once did. I had 25 mg pills, I could take 1 to 4, depending on how I felt. It mostly worked, but I did always fell sleepy afterwards -- but then, that's a frequent side effect for anything against anxiety. I also took a daily dose of 600 mg at the time, so I don't know if it will be comparable. Ri...

Hi, I don't really know how to explain this, but I guess I'll try. I'm currently followed by a psychiatrist for a psychotic episode a few years ago. It's rather theoretical at the moment, I haven't seen her since... early October, I think. I don't have an appointment either. What happened, actually,...

I don't know what to say, so I'll just say that for now. Oh, but I'm not autistic. Well, most likely not. It doesn't seem to fit accurately. I'm followed (theoretically) for "psychosis", but even with the most loose definition, I don't really fit in there either, nor in any of the specific psychotic...
