I'm looking forward to playing Metroid Prime 3. It supposedly has really good controls, and the graphics are some of the best on Wii.

For me, top of the favorite games list is Deus Ex. It has that feeling of creeping paranoia, the dystopian near future environments, the choice and interaction, the story that would make a good novel, and that amazing music. No other game has ever done atmosphere so well (although apparently BioShock tries). I'm currently playing through it for about the fourth time.

Wikipedia - Deus Ex

Unreal was good too, I still remember stepping out the the crashed spaceship into a massive landscape that didn't quite look like earth. Seeing the little two-legged rabbit-kangaroos hopping about nibbling the plants. Turning to witness the Vortex Rikers smashed into the cliff at the end of a massive gouge in the land, looking over the cliff at bottom of the waterfall a mile below me. I had never thought a game could be that big.

Also good are the original Unreal Tournament and The Legend of Zelda: the Ocarina of Time.

I can confirm everything you say there. It's a truly marvelous game which kept me occupied for a while because I'd sometimes stop and just look at the scenery. The intricacy is insane at points.

I prefer 8-Bit Theater as a VG spoof.

My favourite video game series are:

Final Fantasy

Kingdom Hearts

Metal Gear Solid

Resident Evil

Silent Hill

Super Smash Bros

My favourite individual games are:

Final Fantasy VI-X, X-2 and XII, along with Dirge of Cerberus.

Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes and MGS3: Snake Eater (Sons of Liberty is fine, but Snake Eater is more challenging)

Silent Hill and Silent Hill 3 (yet to finish SH2)

Resident Evil 0, Remake, 2, 3 and 4

Parasite Eve II

Dark Chronicle

Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos
and The Frozen Throne.

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask and The Wind Waker.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

Super Smash Bros Melee

Kingdom Hearts I
and II

Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes

Project Zero (Fatal Frame for the Americans)

Halo is lame, console people act like they've never played an FPS before.

It's BETTER on PC.

sure is.. It was cool when Simmons (the guy that does his voice) and the music composer came here for armageddonn (a multimedia(nerd)convention held in town) the sad thing was that they were going to show some unseen footage and the dvd player stuffed up so they could not do that. then the shipping company lost their merchandise :(. Which is sad cos a lot of us wanted to buy it. Anyway it was still cool talking to them about their projects and things. :)
