My dad gifted me the aforementioned phone circa 2022. It's battery died out of the blue. Of course, I can just replace it but I fear it won't get updates the next following years considering it's an old model from 2021.

I've always wanted an iPhone and I have been eyeing on the iPhone 14. FOMO has been convincing me thanks to a discount on a refurbished one on the Apple shop. I have been working a lot of overtime and just gotten my 3 unemployment checks when WA.gov fixed my situation. So I do feel like treating myself and have the money to do so.

I will like to hear anyone's thoughts on the matter.

IPhones are overpriced for what they offer and system is locked down (i.e. forget about installing anything that didn't made into their store). I've never had one myself but some of my relatives had (/ still have) and generally are not satisfied with them.

I have the 16E. Bought it directly from Apple on launch day and have no regrets. Snappy, fast, takes pictures, makes calls, sends texts and stays charged up

iPhone's are fine for the average user.

If you have always wanted one - get one.
