Are there any good inspiring films about computer CEOS apart from The Social Network and Pirates Of Silicon Valley?

Micro Men (2009)

In 1979 Clive Sinclair, British inventor of the pocket calculator, frustrated by the lack of home investment in his project, the electric car, also opposes former assistant Chris Curry's belief that he can successfully market a micro-chip for a home computer. A parting of the ways sees Curry, in partnership with the Austrian Hermann Hauser and using whizz kid Cambridge students, set up his own, rival firm to Sinclair Radionics, Acorn. Acorn beat Sinclair to a lucrative contract supplying the BBC with machines for a computer series. From here on it is a battle for supremacy to gain the upper hand in the domestic market.

Wargames
Tron
Tron: Legacy

Most computer-related films are mediocre or plain bad. (Hackers, Untraceable, Fear dot com)

I loved Wargames. I really enjoyed the scene with Malvin, the Aspergarian computer geek. Which is remarkable since the picture was made at a time when Asperger's was not an issue that most of the public was aware of.

How about Revolution OS? It is a documentary about linux and the free software movement. Features interviews with Linus Torvalds and Richard Stallman.

Never seen it, but I love Linux Fedora, and I despise windows, so I may give it a try.

How about Patent Absurdity? I haven't seen it but a letter I got from the Free Software Foundation today mentions it.

That sounds interesting. Especially since the BBC Micro was mostly used in schools and Commodore and Sinclair were the two main competitors in the domestic market.

When I was a kid, most people either had a C64 or a Spectrum; if you had a BBC Micro, you had a very privileged upbringing.

Its a very enjoyable film, sort of comic.

As a BBC user there were probably only a handful of people at school who you could chat with about games. One of acorns biggest mistakes was not timing the release of the electron properly.

I was going to mention that one but I didn't feel like it was an "inspiring film about computer CEOs"... then again neither is Tron or Wargames. So lets just say it counts!
