It's been a good run but after getting tagged by copyfraud three times a month, I've decided it's over and I can't take it anymore. I have enough problems at home that I don't need anymore problems online. The stress has piled up and I've reached my limit. I can't let these organizations take credit for a video game soundtrack and I can't have nice things because they think they can. All I ever wanted was to use video game footage as my escape, my freedom of expression, but these organizations won't let me keep that peace. So now, I've deleted everything except my channel itself. It won't let me delete as if it won't let me go. Copyfraud won and I lost hooraaaaaaaaaayandsoforth. What? What do I have to do to keep what's mine? Honestly, as long as loopholes exist, YouTube is all but dead to me. I wonder if there is an alternative. Someplace where I can upload far away from copyright, copyfraud, and even farther away from organizations who use malpractice in business.

Let it be known that YouTube channel MrIAMNOTANOOB is dead as well as most of YouTube.

Do you mean like a forum community or site dedicated to what you were getting in trouble on Youtube with ?

I'm sorry that Youtube has literally gone to hell and became the little b***h of corporations and the music industry You're right it is total f*****g BS !

Why not f*****g go after the radio stations online and on the air who play their songs since you could record music off of your radio anyways ? I feel your pain and think this is getting ridiculous

I've been pissed off ever since they were bought out by Google and Google basically gives a YouTube member no choice but to have their account linked to an e-mail and also use a real name or the email name if you want to comment and take part more fully.

I refuse to do that, so now I just post videos but I can't comment on others' channels, and I can't reply to comments on mine. I don't believe in complete online revelation of one's real name and identity, as I think that can be very unsafe in several ways. especially for women. I wrote that to YouTube but it falls on deaf ears.

Have you tried Vimeo? I've heard that a lot of Youtube people are jumping ship to Vimeo.

On second thought, nevermind. They stopped taking in Video Game videos years ago.

I wonder how long it'll be until Google forces you to use your real name before you could do anything with a Google or Youtube account ?

For that matter I just use Alan Smithee, which is a name I've came across from the Nostalgia Critic when he was talking about directors changing their names or something like that.

Alan Smithee was a name used by directors and writers in the unions to protest lousy work that they refused to take credit for. They were telling the producer, "If you do it that way, I won't associate my name with it."

You can have multiple identities in Youtube and you don't have to show people you real name or email address.

I've never understood why anyone would want to post videos from their video games. It's even more of a mystery why anyone would ever care to watch them.

I've watched a number of aircraft videos on youtube. It always ticks me off when I click on a link to a video and it turns out to be nothing more than something from a flight simulator on a PC. What a waste of bandwidth.

Go to the YouTube channel "Jon" and ask Jonathan Paula how he posts videos of his video game playing. Maybe there's a way to salvage all of this.

Well should we allow or encourage people to violate the copyright of others, I am not sure of what the OP is complaining of.

If he is being wrongly punished by having films taken down from youtube when there is no copyright violation then it is wrong, but if he is complaining that you tube keep taking stuff down which violates copyright then I think he should not be complaining.

This is stupid. So because people are making money from their videos YouTube want to ban them.

This is probably linked to a decrease in their revenue from their ads platform. They don't want ads appearing on gaming videos because they are not profitable, and their advertisers are seeing a decreased CTR (click through ratio). But because there's so many of video game videos, YouTubes ad platform can't filter out video games. So to increase their revenue and comply with their investors they're removing them all.

Even the game publishers are trying to stop them. Everyone's going to lose out ... except YouTube.

I would give Twitch a try.

I was happy uploading video game footage. Video games were my escape. Cheating on them was my freedom of expression. Whenever I got a copyright notice from a copyfraud organization, I lose my motivation to keep uploading until the dispute goes through. There is no faster way to do it. Once it goes through, I have only a small window of opportunity to upload before they strike again and I'm out for another month.

Rather than a month, copyright notices finally started coming every few days and then I lost my nerve and said "Screw This!" I can't handle disputing a video every few days until I'm suddenly disputing all 600-something videos over the course of many years. You'd probably say I gave up too early, but maybe that's because I'm not a fighter. I don't have enough mental energy to still do what I want while fighting an ongoing battle. How can I stand up to this and fight if no one's got my back?! Ever since that day, playing video games doesn't feel the same anymore, in fact, nothing does. I've lost my edge. It feels like demons have hijacked everything that has ever given me joy in life. For the majority of the day, I don't feel like doing anything. I want these demons to go away. I want things to go back to the way they used to be (almost if not exactly).

Before posting the videos, did you do any investigation to determine who does own the copyrights and who helps them enforce those copyrights?

I didn't have to mostly. I did used to have some N64 era WWE games though so WWE Music Group is no surprise. The rest are scams with the exception of these two. I know they aren't associated with video games (at least the ones I've played).

Orchard was more stubborn than the rest.
I've seen these two copyright public domain to videos with NO MUSIC or SOUND. Just watch and read complaints by other people who were attacked.
I don't think Majesco, THQ, Valve Software, Nintendo, Sega, Acclaim, Iguana, or any developer, publisher, or composer would be associated with these two companies. If they are, then I'd like to see a full list of their clients as proof. At this time, I see no proof of their partnerships.
I know there is no association because it feels like generally ignored common fact to me.
Video game footage is free advertisement for game companies but soundtracks are a grayer area because you don't see most video game music on iTunes or on full album. It's not being marketed especially for older games. Think of the oldest video game soundtrack you can think of and imagine Harry Fox or Orchard putting a claim on it. It doesn't make any sense. It's easy for them.
As for the real enforcers of a game company's copyright, I'd just assume the publisher is the bigger enforcer. But what if the game company is out of business? Since THQ is out, I don't know who owns what of any of their published games.

I usually watch the retro play through gaming videos on Youtube as I loved watching people play video games

That can be frustrating as hell when you want to watch something and it's not what your looking for because the poster can't use tags correctly or title the video right I usually search for Naruto full fights and hate it when people are too lazy to add AMV, which I think stands for Amateur made Music Video, to the title ... The same goes for other anime's as well too
