macbook, so that would be an intel core duo 2 ghz (not the core 2 duo) with a gig of ram and 60GB disk space.

Gets the job done, though the graphics chip/card doesn't really do much.

High tech red neck y'all!
Image
Just the PC2500E gos bundle, a gig of ram, 80+ PS, 160gig HD, and another sound card/serial IR receiver for streaming to the rest of the house. Definitely worthwhile in terms of power consumption/cost/use compared to any other platform I've seen recently.

Not my main computer and neither the computer, I am writing from, but the one, I love tweaking most:

OS: Linux (DSL) and FreeDOS
CPU: Pentium 1 @75 MHz
Chipset: no idea
RAM: 40 MB
Hard Drive: 2 GB
Primary Optical Drive: none
Secondary Optical Drive: none as well, it does have a floppy drive though
Media Manager: that is that?
Graphics: Standard-VGA compatible onboard card
Sound: undetected
Monitor: a latency-having (latencious) laptop monitor, it can do 800x600 at most, moving the mouse leaves a trail
AGP Slots: are you kidding?
PCI Slots: it does have ISA...
PCI 1x Slots:
PCI 4x Slots:
PCI 16x Slots:
Manufacturer: IBM
Model Number: Some thinkpad, not sure...

Core 2 Duo, 6400. 4 gigs of ram. Vista x64 Ultimate.
Boot Drive: 2x 10,000 RPM IDE 74 Gigs in RAID 1.
Data Drive: 2x 7,200 RPM IDE 500 Gigs in RAID 1.
GeForce 8800 GTS.
On board gigabit ethernet 2x, onboard wireless.
Creative X-Fi.
2x Dell FP2001 LCDs. 1600x1200s side by side.

I built this in 2006. In 2007 I upgraded the vid card and went from 2->4 gigs of ram.

I have the itch to build a nice linux system now.
