Reasearch how the personality of individual HUMANS work, by studying how actual people resond, not octupi. The nervous systems and physiologies are completely different. Plus, there really is no way to gauge if it has an actual personality since you know, we dont 'speak their language' >_>
Id rather do a more practical study, with volunteer subjects and measure the volunteers responses, because the closest thing to studying a human is actually having another human being volunteer to be the subject.
