decent graphics card for games

Well A lot of what I learned with dealing with the nitty gritty was by trial and error. Memory leaks in particular can be caused by software conflicting with eachother, or a bad chip on a stick of ram. Did you get the ram used? Did you follow proper precautions when you installed the sticks? Do Their clock speeds all match up? Those are huge factors that can influence memory leaks. The main reason I don't buy used components is that you can't trust whether a chip got zapped. It is a big issue when it comes to memory, not just regular RAM but the RAM that is also on a video card.
Basically summing it up as it would be much easier for me to fix it if I was there to actually test components. I Fail miserably at walking people through stuff, which is why I don't work tech support (plus under a lot of stress for the past few weeks, so I may seem much more of an a**hole than I usually am, which I will apologize for. (Since I know at times it might seem like im insulting your intelligence, its kind of a stress response for me :/ )

and i'm going through misserable unending stomach pain, so i can understand i am having a hard time even trying to act like i'm pleasent most of the time. i also should be more willing to listen but i got my dad's stubborn nature, i'm not sure who is more strong willed me or him. i take alot from my dad's side.
sorry if i was a bit mean it's just that i get this idea that everyone i talk to on the net thinks i'm rich or something. i guess i was getting tired of it and most of that rant wasn't really directed at you it was more global about every time i get told to just buy something. heck a guy i played WoW with said that "you have the money you can afford it" or something like that, i swear he was always trying to get me to do what i couldn't do. like move back to AZ. i can't drive and i'd probably die if i tried living on my own.
i'm probably more frusterated knowing the things i can't do then the people around me telling me to do it. and it's not just financial, it started when i stopped drawing. i kept getting arsed to keep drawing, but there is something keeping me from doing so, i'm not sure what i have plenty of ideas.
anyway, i'm going to deal with my computer problems one step at a time and i'm going to hope for the best with the card. but dragon age had been acting up even when i only had the ps3 version, i got lag that would do the same as the pc version it would progressively get worse and worse until it was nearly unplayable, then i would have to shut the game down and the ps3 to let it cool. but i would get about 4 to 5 hours of time on it. i honestly think it's a major flaw in the game itself, but i've been having nothing but bad thoughts in my head and getting depressed because of it, so i have to think optimisticly at some point now.
i'm on prozac to help counter all the depression, and i put up a hell of a fight to try and get out of taking it, but i now know i do need some help.
edit: i forgot to mention this, i have tried to run dao on the lowest setting heck i ran it like that for several months straight, didn't help much, just couldn't see eye colors. i have this weird obsession with hating helmets and being driven crazy if i can't tell what color a character's eyes are. it does run better on low setting but not by much. of course i also ran media player in the background, the people on bioware already told me that isn't a good idea.
but playing with no music is creepy, there is nothing wrong with the music i just hate it. i feel like every game should have a bgm mute button or volume slider.
