First I ever used was an IBM in Elementary or Primary, unknown model. It was set up so that we were in some sort of program, likely edit. You were to raise your hand when finished, and then it'd be noisily printed out by a dot matrix. And then came the fruit macs.
As for the first computer that I bought with my own money? This machine next to me, from, used-pcs.com. Dell Optiplex 780 slim form factor, with a brand new keyboard that I'm still getting used to, connected up to the first flatscreen monitor in the household, a Dell 2007WFP (Analog).
As for the first computer I owned, it was a hand me down, my parents gave me a Dell Optiplex G1 that they had been using as their computer, with a measly 4GB hard drive that I broke due to a hard drop onto concrete by accident, so it was replaced with a 20 GB. She was a good machine, with a Pentium Celeron 400mhz, with 256 MB of RAM, a Sound Blaster Live, and a Matrinox Millenium video card that boasted 8 megabytes of video ram! She's been retired and scrapped since then, but I'll miss her dearly.
I actually tried to install Windows ME on it, that was a wonderful waste of time; I quickly downgraded back when it turned out nothing was compatible with anything anymore.
I actually recall that at some point, I had a Diamond Stealth video card. I was actually quite interested in the tech demo that was on the disk.
