Matriarchal societies might have been more free about sex, since sex is one of the things men use to control women, but it wasn't only about that. Showing breasts in public wasn't always the taboo that it is now in Western societies.

Since matriarchal religion is the topic of this thread, do you have any firm, specific evidence whatsoever that such a thing has ever existed? Again, the link you sent was not helpful in this respect. I'm trying to keep an open mind....
