Firefox crashes when visiting wrongplanet.net forum

For me, Firefox keeps freezing with this "unresponsive script": http://redir.adap.tv/redir/javascript/adaptvInfo.js:1 . It's SO unresponsive even the error message is frozen. Firefox is stripped back to essentials on my machine, so I think I'll have to use something else just for Wrong Planet. Recommendations? (Not Edge- it's so glitchy I can't even type web addresses into it.) Odd- I switched to the Fox 'cos it was more robust against most problems I encountered.
