I voted neither, I'm a PC :)

I do own an iPhone though. The reason I chose it is because I like musical applications such as Bebop and SampleWiz. I prefer those apps over whatever freedom / superior tech android has to offer, which would be nice but not entirely necessary, in the end you're limited anyway seeing as you're using a phone/tablet...
All I do with my phone is play the musical apps, listen to music, and call/text my mom and my employer

I stick with none.

I don't even have a smartphone. Mine is cheaper than a disposable one !

Android all the way. I never had much luck with Apple.

I have an IPhone. It's the only smartphone I've ever had, and I love it. Someone else wrote that there are more free Android apps, but even if that's true, there are tons of great free IPhone apps. I've only bought one: $3 for a backgammon program. Plus I left a $1 tip for a great alarm clock app.

But I hate ITunes, and Apple makes it difficult to use anything else for music. I managed to use Copy Trans Manager to install free ringtones from audiko.net . Next I plan to find and install a music player I like so I can listen to my popular music collection on it in my car.

I dislike Safari, too, and there's no Firefox for IPhone. There are some browsers for iOS that look better than Safari, but it would take some learning. It's not worth it, since I rarely use my phone for the Web anyway.

I've never used another smartphone, so I cannot compare IPhone to Android on the basis of experience.

People say IPhones don't get viruses and Androids do, and if it's true, I like that.

If I have to replace my phone or renew my data plan or something, I may compare phones and try to save $.

I forgot to ask this before: has anyone managed to install a good alternative music player on their IPhone (to avoid ITunes)? Preferably free, with no ads or unobtrusive ads.
