My old PC brings up that message every time you start it up. In my case, it was because my dad was doing some "maintinence" on the computer and accidentaly deleted the .dll in question... and SOMEHOW managed to delete "scandisk" at the same time. It scares me that this is a man who makes software for airlines... I never plan to fly with BA!

try:

1)insert your win XP disk
2)start>run>"SFC /scannow"

if that fails try looking for the .dll here

i don't think BA write the software for the plane so don't worry about that but don't fly with them anyway unless you don't take your bags for granted  .

That's the thing, he doesn't work for BA, he works for the subsidiary company that do their software 8O ...terrifying.
Also, I despise windows XP. That old box has always run 95, and I lost the disk YEARS ago. But, I've finally replaced the computer... so the problem is solved anyway.
But thanks for the help all the same! I'll pass it on to my brother - he 'inherited' the old computer:P

Never heard of that program on a Windows machine before. I suggest you try this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linux

Nah. And it's usually cheaper to get real problems sorted out.

I virus-checked and then restored, and the message *touchwood* does not come up any longer.

Thanks. :)
