Unsound answer.
"Neither" is unsound because the question was never about a choice of two.
"FreeBSD" is unsound because the question was about the hardware, not the OS. FreeBSD is an OS that runs on many platforms, even Macs, unless I'm mistaken.

I've got a PowerBook G4 1.5 GHz (with the 12in display).
Fits my needs perfectly.

At least we can keep our fingers crossed. :) The delays in the release had to do with the iPhone work, according to Apple's press releases. A lot of people still use PPC, so I don't think Apple would just stop supporting those people. (That would be akin to what Microsoft is doing with Vista, so I guess I must trust Apple more not to do it for some reason.)

The userbase alone is the reason why I don't have a Mac, which seems to consists of:

99% Pretentious, self-righteous arty fa***t hipsters
1% Decent people (Most of them probably from this forum)

I'm not saying I hate Macs themselves, put me in front of one and I'll happily use it... although I wouldn't say there's anything special about them IMO.

Wow! That's some anger. Were you molested by an Apple ][ as a child? =)

Heh, that wasn't anger, just stating a fact: Most apple users are twats. If they weren't twats I'd have a Mac by now.

Like I said, I don't hate Macs themselves... but I don't like iPods though.

Have homosexuals EVER done anything to harm you??? Just curious.

So you don't have anything against macs themselves, and you would have one now if the users were not twats?

PC users are stupid - fact!

And since Macs are basically PCs now (thanks to Intel), that must mean you're stupid too, unless you own a non-intel version... just kidding, I'm not flaming you or anyone ;)

And yes, I'd probably have one now - they do indeed look nice... and also for the reason that I can run Windows on it (It's possible to run OSX on my PC, but it's illegal), I just don't want to be reminded that these very computers are used by snobby gits all over the world.

And using the word "fa***t" doesn't necessarily mean that they're gay, hell I call my best mates fa***ts... even though they're the opposite... lol. Nowadays It's becoming more of a meaning for an extremely obnoxious person than anything else, well at least in my area that is. Heh, the word itself wasn't meant to be related to homosexuals in the first place - it was the name for a kind of meatball made in the UK.

I have 3 PowerBooks (Wallstreet, 3400 and 1400c), an LCII and a Beige G3.

I may get an iMac soon as I have always wanted one.

I don't have any of thier Intel stuff though, and it is unliklely I ever will. If I want an Intel system I will get one from elsewhere.

just got an email from apple saying that you can get your hands on Leopard beta at the WWDC this year in San Fran.

a majority of computer users are idiots. some because they use PC's and think they can handle them, some because they think they are smarter for using a Mac or cooler for using a Mac (and both are pretty much the same, as Shleed said). I do admit, Mac's are sexier but that isnt the sole reason to buy them. On the other hand, you can do almost anything you want with a PC a lot easier (I think anyways). Atleast in the phsyical sense. though one can mess around with a Mac, that is not their real intended purpose and is a lot harder to do. but that is just my POV. I have never really tried to mess with my mac (more because it is a laptop than a MAc is why I dont mess with it). I have only done some HD switching on my old PC and that is about it.
