its :set syntax=on

I like text editing HTML, so Ill stick with Vim. NVU is more like Dreamweaver isn't it?

It always seems to choose the wrong colours, so I'm more familiar with doing ":set synax=off".

Nvu/KompoZer allows you to edit WYSIWYG, with tags, or plain text. Single click to switch between each of the three modes.

I tend to jiggle between modes, as I see fit, then break out to vim when I need some complex pattern matched search&replace things. Finally, I'll write C programs for some sorts of mass edits.
