WHICH P2P MUSIC SOFTWARE IS BEST?
I recommend "Ares Galaxy" and I don't believe it a threat to my computer since I haven't seen anything that might be a trojan or virus.
You might get better feauture by using Ares Galaxy because anything that is extra feature is swiss army knife so to speak.
Torrent is the last method to used and in most case music files aren't usually upload in this network. Torrent can be slower than other method and make take longer.
BitLord is the program that I used for torrent as well it contains a search engine that allow you to search for suitable torrent, reviews (rarely), and the health status.
P2P sucks. Stay away from all P2P apps. The only two things you need to use are Utorrent (for torrents) and Emule (for hard to find and high quality files). Another app that was mentioned by a couple people on this thread is Soulseek, although I don't recommend it as much as Utorrent or Emule. Why don't I recommend Soulseek as much as Utorrent or Emule? Because most downloads on Soulseek are slow, it has single source downloads, doesn't have very much lossless music, if the person you are downloading off of goes offline your album will be unfinished..... You get the picture. In my opinion Soulseek is highly overrated even if it's still better for music than P2P apps.
P2P sucks? I am sorry but that a 100% biased because P2P can be faster than Torrent software. You need to get the right P2P program like the one I mentioned.
Believe it or not... P2P are Torrent and other software. Hence ===> Peer to Peer

Usually when someone says P2P they are referring to "traditional" P2P software like Limewire, Ares, Winmx, Kazaa, etc. Sure the speeds may be quicker with traditional P2P apps but the files that you download on there usually lack quality. Half the songs you download have an extremely low bitrate (128 KBPS) and a huge amount of songs you download via P2P aren't encoded properly. And that's just music... When downloading software or anything else through a P2P client 3/4 of the time you'll download a fake file or the file will have it's name changed to something else. It probably won't even be the right file you were looking for.
I don't see why a sensible person would want to keep on using P2P apps when they could be using Utorrent or Emule instead.
