I used to use Apache all the time, but now prefer lighttpd. I'm renting a virtual Archlinux server in the US and that's where everything runs from.

QuantumCowboy: Can you not configure a static IP in your router instead of using DHCP?


I think that the issue is with the actual modem. As I mentioned, I have to replace it, and contact the ISP. :?

On the plus side, I now have openSuse 11.0 working great now. Am rather happy I made the upgrade. So many new configurations to edit. :nerdy:

I've been coding in php for the past year now, and for the most part really like it. Like you I have a bunch of half done projects I do for fun. A lot of them are in C# though. As a language I really like it and mono makes it cross platform. Pretty much all I do is program and play Team Fortress 2 :P

I never went to school to learn what I know as well, I started a web dev company with a friend so it never mattered and he takes care of all the customer relations so I don't even have to deal with people.
