Only problem I have with the 64 bit is daemon tools won't run on it, and flash is not compatible with 64 bit browsers. So I am stuck using 32 bit Firefox. Overall, a big step from Vista.

Flash is indeed compatible with 64-bit systems, where did you get the idea that it was not? Mac OS X is 64-bit and runs Flash perfectly out of the box, and I know that in 64-bit Ubuntu it only take a couple minutes to get Flash up and running properly.

Yes, it is compatable with 64 bit systems, however, that is assuming that the web browser is 32 bit. Adobe even acknowledged this on their website.

I coulda sworn I posted in this thread already...

I installed 32bit Win7 build 7000 yesterday... It's a million times better than Vista. Anything is really.

It's buggy as all betas are, but even the bugs aren't as bad as Vista with all updates...

I have sent Microsoft my first complaint about Win7. Basicly, windows media player wanted to delete files on my SD card I use for readyboost. So, of course, I am thinking why would I want to delete files off of a readyboost drive that is in its entirety dedicated to readyboost. Kinda stupid, but hopefully they will put something in that makes it easier to pick up on stuff like that.

The official site dont let me download it, I get to the "Test drive Windows 7" thing with a product key but when I click download nothing happens, so I gave up.

BitTorrent, however, works just fine

So, I have build 7000.

It's not bad for Windows, especially for a BETA Windows!

I think what's happened is that Microsoft finally got off their lazy asses and made a effort to code a OS that actually works (something they didn't do with Vista).

Yeah, that happened to me too. I have like 3 product keys. By the way, why do they still have these inane product keys on a free public beta? Kinda dumb.

I'm not so interested in Win7 that I'm ready to pirate. I'll probably just borrow an install disk from a friend, though I'm sure he got the 32-bit and I want 64-bit.

Yeah, product keys are a stupid idea anyway!

I dont consider it pirating if it's a free public beta anyway.

I tried the pre-beta and it sucked so I'm not even bothering with the public beta considering it's the same thing but with less bugs. It is quite a bit more optimized though.

I've got a funny suspicion that there is a OSX version of internet explorer.

I installed it onto a P4, it sort of works ok

it doesn't have drivers in it for the GPU on the Intel 845 chipset (heathens)

I'm going to play :D

You're kidding me? The 845 chipset is so common, they had no drivers? Ballmer must have been hungry and consumed them with his massive tongue I suppose then.
