I think the main problem is that Dvorak is not well known to many people, if they have even heard of it. I only know 2 people who have even heard of it.

It's a shame that Qwerty is the dominant layout even though it's more uncomfortable to type with.

Somebody needs to make a better online converter for Qwerty --> Dvorak.

I see a Niche...


Ironically, I learned about Dvorak in elementary school from a short story about the subject in my textbook. 10 years later, I finally took the time to learn it :P

Oooh interesting, an least you read something about it back then.

I do remember when I was in Grade 3, we used a program called Mavis Beacon (VERSION 5, the only Mavis Beacon version which also teaches Dvorak). It actually offered to teach Dvorak, except our teacher (like nearly all other teachers in the world), made us choose the Qwerty option instead.

I didn't bother looking up Dvorak again until this year.

But it's great that you made the switch, we're part of a lucky few!
