The world is becoming a lot less violent. Read "The Better Angels Of Our Natures" by Stephen Pinker. He lays it out well. We also will soon be able to link directly to computers. When that happens, we will have an explosion of new connections in science and other disciplines. Our brains are probably reacting to many things in our environment. The idea that we are becoming less intelligent is very premature. We are just beginning to understand how our brains and DNA work and change over time. We also, for better or worse, will soon be able to determine our own evolution with DNA technologies that we are already working on...
