I've always had a strange attraction to Windows 95....not really sure why. Haven't used it in 5 years though....I'm on Windows 8 now. Not really sure what every one is whining about with this OS. Sure, the Start screen is unnecessary but how distracting is it, really? Just click on Desktop and you're done with it or find an app that bypasses it all together

Quirks really. I personally like it specially if it's with a touch screen. I think it has some added features that I wish we had in 7.
BTW UNIX not Gnu not UNIX FTW. <-- If that blew your mind then it's UNIX not GNU (UNG not GNU)
In order of preference
1. UNIX
2. Windows
3. Mac
4. NextStep
5. OS/2
6. AmigaOS
7. Redhat
8. DOS
9. Ubuntu

Windows 7 is the best to me, but Ubuntu is also a good one. Same with a lot of other Unix-like systems. I used Mac OS X at school and that's great too. Sadly, on my mains computer, I'm stuck with Vista. Ugh.

I don't mind the Start button but my main issue is my laptop hanging when ever I am using Win8. Win7 runs just fine on the same lappy. Also I dont really like the new metro style interface which is clearly designed to make people familiar with windows mobile.
Windows XP! I hate the "new" 7 (and probably 8!)... I have a Windows XP tower, but I think the video card fried on it... the screen shows up blank. Once I get the money I'm going to fix it! I also have a Windows XP laptop, but it isn't worth using... too slow! (It;s on the older side!) I've just been used to Windows XP... it is what I've used for most of my computer days.

Debian GNU/Linux, pretty exclusively.
Same.. started with Debian as my permanent go-to then so many distros I ended up trying failed in fundemental ways so I have never used anything but Debian since then out of choice. Except Gentoo in it's much later days when it wasn't cool/hip anymore - has it's own issues but follows a similar stability model as Debian.. but then only for certain types of use, never on the desktop.
