The rules tell you that it is not OK to promote your own site until you has contributed something useful to WP.

As far as links to anywhere else, if they're in the slightest useful, go ahead and make them.

I find it irritating when someone mentions something that sounds worth a look, but doesn't give a link. Everyone who reads the posts has to scrabble around, trying to figure out where to go. Much nicer if the post has a link.

link to that rule?

wow I leave this thread for a coupla days and find you all bickering between yourselves. Right now my major concern is not my site looking great on different browsers. I have IE, Opera, Firefox and Netscape on my computer. I know for a fact that almost most of our clients use either IE or Firefox. I don't really care for now about how they look on all the rest until my website designer is back from feeling ill and can have a proper look at it himself.
Seeing as I did all the copywriting and put everything together in the space of a week when I wasn't up the ladder or meeting with clients, I can safely say I am proud at how it looks.
I appreciate all the critic and it is duly noted and will be passed on to my web guy.
Thanks again peeps for taking the time to look and will let you all know how it goes as the weeks go by.
Now back to the bickering................ :eye:

I'm unsure why you did not provide the link yourself... as you are obliged to have read the rules before posting.

The rule is the penultimate item under "Posting Specifications" in the WP rules, which are the announcement at the top of the first forum of the site.

Due to an excess of sarcasm, I have failed to provide the link, thus violating my own suggestion that such links should be provided.

PS. gbollard... I suspect you have contributed more "substantial useful content" than I have...

PPS. I do enjoy a nice bicker. However, after I have been riding my bickercycle for I while, I sometimes feel a little tired.
