windows xp was the best-running version I've used, it rarely crashed. 7 was almost as good. 10 on the other hand... if you don't have a machine with gaming-level power/resources, it is a resource hog and not that stable. to get mine to work on my old machine [old being 2010 vintage, intel I-core3, 6G RAM] I have to go into task manager and manually x-out a bunch of background programs so there will be enough memory for it to run without crashing all the time.

Believe it or not, the only machines where windows 7 never giving me fits are Intel-based Macs, running BootCamp. Then, again, I refuse to run Windows 8, 8.1, and 10. The UI on those OSes are so butt-ugly and non-intuitive that they are almost useless.

might be a reference to the iphone's relative intuitive simplicity [for techies] compared to using a mac.

It seems to me as if it is Microsoft who is trying to make their operating systems resemble a phone.

They actually did. Remember the Windows phone, since Redmond bought Nokia a few years back?

I had a former roommate that had such a device. We’re talking absolute piece of junk! The OS was so buggy as to be useless. I’m Not an Android fan, but the Windows phone makes Android look good by comparison.

Sorry I made a mistake yesterday night because I was tired. I meant mouse, not phone.

The biggest problem I've had with this iMac is that it changes occasional words that I type and I have to go back and fix them. I need to figure to how to turn off the "auto-incorrect" feature.
